I currently use Google Apps to host my email, and use POP to download my messages to Outlook BCM.  This has been a good solution for me.  The SPAM filter is great!

I recently upgraded to Google Apps Premier Edition (GAPE), which includes a Outlook Sync tool.

More info at http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/..._sync.html

The sync tool is billed as an exchange server alternative, and uses a Google protocol to sync messages between your Google account and your local files.

There are some compelling benefits, but I want to make sure that Outlook sync is compatible with BCM.  I'm worried that the contact history could become corrupted using this tool.

Does anybody have experience using Google Outlook Sync with BCM?  Does MS Exchange work with BCM?

Thanks,
TimK

TimK: I haven't used this tool but it looks good. I'm not sure that BCM contacts will synch with it, though. I doubt it will corrupt the history since BCM stores its data in a separate database than Outlook contacts. And, that is why it probably won't work for BCM also... MS Exchange doesn't work with BCM either. You can copy BCM contacts into an Exchange folder but it's just a one way copy -- no synch there either. HTH, Lon
