Are their periodic updates to the marketing manager and how would I get them?

Yes, we do periodic updates... The latest one was in June 2009. The best way to get the new version is to signup for a 10 Day Trial version on the pinpoint Marketing tool page on this website. Uninstall your older version, then reinstall the new one. It will remember your activation codes. Just to be on the safe side, please backup your pinpoint Marketing tool.MDB file first.

Thanks. Is there a backup function in the software or is it a manual backup? I couldn't fin an option in the software. If its Manual where is the MDB file located?

No, there's no backup inside PMT. The pinpoint Marketing tool.MDB file is in your My Documents\My pinpoint Messages folder. Just copy it to somewhere safe.
