I am struggling to find any information on how pinpoint marketing and swiftpage services integrate.

I am using outlook and have registered for a swiftpage account but I would like some more information on:
How they work? e.g. what is actually does when i put my logins in
How to get them to work? settings to change, how to integrate them

the only information i could find in the pinpoint manual took me to a dead link

and the swiftpage website was not a lot of help as it shows screen shots of ACT:
http://www.swiftpage.com/partners/a....Marketing

Is working with outlook different to working with act.

I want to make sure I am SPAM compliant and customers can opt out before i send out any major mailings.

Any help or information to read would be greatly appreciated as I would love to start mailing my list :)

Regards.

Lucy

Thanks Lucy! We'll fix the dead link -- thanks for pointing it out... Our pinpoint Marketing tool can use SwiftPage to send its emails directly without putting them into the Outlook Outbox (which is Plan A for PMT). Once you Apply a Plan to contact(s), the email is sitting in the PMT database. On the given day, you would go into Deliver Marketing Activities, click the dropdown in the upper right corner and select pinpointDelivery instead of Microsoft Outlook, click Send All Letters and PMT does the merge, contacts SwiftPage programatically, and sends them through your account. In order to make that work, click on File, Options in PMT, and there is a tab for pinpointDelivery. That's our name for what was going to be a private labeled version of SwiftPage. Enter your SwiftPage user info there -- that's how PMT knows how to login to SP. Yes, working with Outlook is different than ACT! -- SwiftPage has concentrated their efforts the last few years on integrating with ACT! and has created a similar drip marketing function as PMT that only works with ACT!. Hope that helps, Lon
