Hi, Lon,

Just browsing through the forums to see if I can pick up any tips and caught your answer to somebody where you suggested downloading the software again to ensure getting the latest build version.

So I'm wondering if my FA has the latest build. He's got #1060.  Do you happen to have a newer version out?

Thanks a zill!
Teddie

Teddie:

Yes, 1060 is the latest for now.  We're working on a new build that fixes linking to an Exchange server.  If you're not doing that, I don't think it will add anything to your version.

Thanks for your support!

Lon

Hey, Lon,

We recently signed up with a Microsoft Exchange Server service.

What is the status of the new build you are working on to fix linking?

Secondarily, I uninstalled PPT for Financial Advisors because I wanted to clean out a bunch of custom fields that I'd made up before installing PPT.  Which, as you well know, prevented some of the PPT custom fields from installing because Office 2007 has a limit on custom fields.

So I'm going to delete a bunch of my crummy fields that aren't used to make room for your good ones when I reinstall.

The version on the ppFASetup shows as 14.0.0.162.  So same sort of question as above:  Is there a newer version?

Thank you!
Teddie

Thanks Teddie! We haven't made any changes to the FA customizations. To give yourself a new "clean" BCM database, I would create a new BCM database, then go to Start, Programs, pinpointtools -- choose the option Deploy Customizations. This will add the FA customizations to the new database. Moving your data into this new clean db might be a challenge, however, now that I'm thinking about it. Please call Belinda in our office and ask her advice... There is a newer version of pinpoint Marketing tool (build 1088) that you can download by going to our site and requesting a 10 day trial. Uninstall your existing version first, then reinstall the new one. Before uninstalling, create your new FA database above, then you should be good to go with the new PMT version. Hope that helps, Lon
