Project Tasks don't appear on Calendar

After a re-install of PPT, Project Tasks created by PMT don't appear on Calendar.
The problem appears to be that they are not "assigned" -

the new Project is created properly
The new Project tasks are created and appear in BCM Project Tasks list

After assigning each new Project task to the current user, they DO appear in Calendar.
Note: the re-install was to a new laptop and the username has changed.

pointpoint and swiftpage integration

I am struggling to find any information on how pinpoint marketing and swiftpage services integrate.

I am using outlook and have registered for a swiftpage account but I would like some more information on:
How they work? e.g. what is actually does when i put my logins in
How to get them to work? settings to change, how to integrate them

the only information i could find in the pinpoint manual took me to a dead link

and the swiftpage website was not a lot of help as it shows screen shots of ACT:
http://www.swiftpage.com/partners/aem.asp?partner=PinPointTools.Marketing

Is working with outlook different to working with act.

I want to make sure I am SPAM compliant and customers can opt out before i send out any major mailings.

Any help or information to read would be greatly appreciated as I would love to start mailing my list :)

Regards.

Lucy

Hi, Lon,

Just browsing through the forums to see if I can pick up any tips and caught your answer to somebody where you suggested downloading the software again to ensure getting the latest build version.

So I'm wondering if my FA has the latest build. He's got #1060. Do you happen to have a newer version out?

Thanks a zill!
Teddie

user defined outlook merge codes

Hello,

I created a user-deined field "Import Date" in BCM in my business contacts that I want to use in a marketing plan to make tasks.

I found the section in the instructions that says how to enter the code into ACTFIELDS.XML so I can use [[Import Date]] in the merge codes.

I can't however find the .XML file to modify is it the same name in ACT and BCM?

Again I am using BCM not Act.

Thanks

Error - re-install after migration and Pinpoint RE

I successfully re-installed BCM to a new computer. I restored BCM to a backup file from the previous installation (which included Pinpoint RE contact field additions and other modifications).

At this point BCM looks and works just like the backup database which was modified using Pinpoint RE (but is not yet re-installed) except without the PMT tool. I can open and close Outlook 2007 with BCM with no problems.

Here's the problem: after next rinstalling Pinpoint RE (and EXITing the setup WITHOUT making field customizations) I cannot close Outlook 2007 and re-open without a re-boot (and error "did not close properly"). After re-boot it works fine, except needs re-boot before each re-opening.

this series of steps brings me back to a fully workable Outlook/BCM:
Uninstall Pinpoint
Uninstall BCM
Reinstall BCM (using existing BCM database)

I think at this point I need to re-install only the PMT tool without the RE component - is that possible using ppresetup.exe?

Please advise,
Thank you!
David

HTML Email

Hi,
I'm using Act 10 and outlook 2007 with your pinpoint marketing program. I can send plan text emails created in Word without any problems, but as soon as I try to use HTML email template from Dreamweaver or even one of Swiftpages templates the system stops working and I just get blank emails in my draft folders with any images connected to the email as attachments. No text or email data is shown. Have you any suggestions how to fix this? I have even opened the html file in word and saved it as a .doc file but the same thing happens.

PinPoint marketing tool

I have PPM Tool Build 976 using it with ACT 2000.

I tried moving ACT 2000 to a new 64 bit VISTA computer but it only works on 32 bit. Will PPM tool work on a 64 bit computer with VISTA? If so I will ugrade ACT to 2009 that does work on 64 bit.

If PPM tool will not work on 64 bit what do you suggest?
Thanks,

Pinpoint Delivery Question

Hello,

Can someone tell me how Pinpoint Delivery works? Does Pinpoint Delivery sent email using the local Outlook client on the workstation, or does it send email via some other means?

Also, is any of the data that a user enters within the Pinpoint Marketing tool available on the internet or sent to the vendor's servers? I need confirmation that all data is ONLY stored locally on the workstation (unless it is sent out via email of course).

Thanks,
MichelleC
